BURNING QUESTION: Of your goal of 9,600 a month net, how much do you
estimate federal taxes at the end of the year? There is a BIG difference if
the IRS taxes you on the 19,200 or 9,600! Seems like there would not be a
lot left over if they tax you on the gross amount, even with the fees
listed as a deduction. Know you are not an accountant but can you reveal
what the IRS impact is on your business?

I just want to thank you for sharing so much of your experience and
insight. I am 44 and have been out of the workforce for several
years–working for myself, ie: childcare, house cleaning, etc.–and now I
can’t even get any call backs after filling out online applications (hate
them!). I want to help bring is some income for my family and I appreciate
your help very much!

I loved this video! Being type A myself, I have set up a tiered goal sheet
starting at spending just 25.00/wk of my own money since this is my first
month starting, plus the stuff around my house. Then 50.00/wk, then
doubling how much I spend each week as the net profits come in. I am a
small business coach working towards my expensive ICF certification so
want Amazon/eBay to be my “day job” to pay for my schooling.

Interesting about amazon market and eBay. Could you do a Amazon FBA video,
how you label and ship process?

You are awesome!! I found you a day ago here on YT and I must say that you
are phenomenal and I genuinely appreciate your generosity with sharing all
these Golden Nuggets!! I’ve sold personal items over the years on Ebay and
always wondered how ppl made “real money” with that type of platform. I
have learned so much from you in just a couple of days. I am now
subscribed!! I wish you continued success!!

Hi, and thanks for this video (and all the rest of your wonderful
videos!). Question: in your example about selling a tool chest, you said
that if a tool chest cost $20 you expect to “get $80 back in return.” Did
you mean that you expect to be able to LIST the item at $80? Doing so
would meet your “4 times” goal…however, that $80 would be lessened by
Amazon’s fees, so in actuality you would get back around $70? Thanks for
clarifying. I’m really getting A LOT of good information from your videos.

Voluptuous Vinyl says:

I would assume this would be just as viable if one was to bypass eBay and
Amazon altogether and setup their own eCommerce website but use the same
principles. I’d love to take some of my interests and build a business
around it, but paying big corporations that big a chunk of my profit, and
the monthly fees they charge makes me sick, especially when it’s clear they
have no loyalty to sellers who make them so much money and they could
potentially crush your business with any changes they make to the system.
I’ve been looking into eCommerce sites and the fees end up coming out to
be single digit % compared to eBay and Amazon. I understand setting up your
own website and store requires more leg work, but if you’re willing to do
that leg work in the long run it seems like it would be the better way to
go because you’re keeping more of your money, and not under the thumb of
Amazon or eBay who are free to change their rules at will. What do you
think?

Hi EG! Great video! I am new to Amazon. In fact I haven’t even started
my first listing. I was all set to do FBA last week, but then found out
about the FBA Nexus Sales Tax issue. This has taken the wind out of my
sails! What is your position on collecting sales tax in nexus states? I
apologize if this is too personal and feel free to ignore me if you are not
comfortable answering that question 🙂 Thanks, Phil
