Jobs for youth: lost for years to come – ILO TV reports from Greece

Thanks! Share it with your friends!

Gains in employment rates for young people have been wiped out by the economic crisis. According to the ILO’s Global Employment Trends for Youth 2012, it may take 4-5 years before jobs rebound. This makes me want to cry for my generation, this is probably the saddest
thing going on in Greece out of everything. 2 degrees and a masters and
working 4 hours a week in a souvlaki shop. How did life get to this ? 🙁

Young people around the world appear to be paying for Wall Street’s selfish
and reckless behavior in 2008. Very sad. But it can turn around if we all
work together on tangible solutions.
